At Mediglobal, we stay connected with our patients well beyond their return home. We facilitate online consultations for follow-up care and ensure seamless communication between patients and their treating doctors. Many of our patients continue to share their post-surgery medical reports with us, which we get reviewed by their doctors to maintain continuity of care. In select cases, we also support patients by arranging for medicine delivery to their
home country.

Our team at Mediglobal is proficient in over 10 foreign languages, including Arabic, French, Bangla, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Romanian, Uzbek, and Turkish.

Travel Tip from Mediglobal:

Foreign nationals can carry up to USD 5,000 per passport into India without declaring it at customs. To avoid the inconvenience of carrying large amounts of cash, you may also choose to wire transfer funds directly to the hospital prior to your travel. Most Indian hospitals accept Visa and Mastercard, but we recommend checking any daily transaction limits with your bank in advance to
ensure a smooth payment experience upon arrival.

India has emerged as a leading destination for advanced medical care, attracting patients from over 180 countries. Mediglobal facilitates access to world-class treatment options, including organ transplants (Living Donor Liver and Kidney), Bone Marrow Transplants, advanced cancer therapies, minimally invasive cardiac procedures, complex neuro and spine surgeries, orthopedic interventions like joint replacements, as well as IVF, dental, eye, and cosmetic treatments.

India’s cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, gene sequencing for
personalized cancer care, and nuclear medicine capabilities contribute to high success rates—even in late-stage cancer cases.

Mediglobal Advantage: Why India Stands Out for Affordable Medical Care

India continues to lead the way in offering high-quality medical care at a fraction of the global cost. Through Mediglobal, patients can access world- class treatment that is at least 70–80% more affordable than in the United States. Even when compared to other popular destinations like Turkey or Thailand, India remains 20–35% more cost-effective, making it the most value-driven healthcare option worldwide.

India is home to over 50 hospitals accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the gold standard for global hospital accreditation based in the USA. This prestigious recognition ensures the highest levels of patient safety and clinical excellence. At Mediglobal, we partner with these top-tier
hospitals to provide world-class healthcare experiences to our international patients.

Your duration of stay in India will depend on the specific treatment you’re planning to undergo.

For most medical procedures, a stay of around 12–15 days is usually sufficient. However, treatments like organ transplants or cancer therapies may require an extended stay of 2–3 months. That said, Indian hospitals typically prioritize international patients, ensuring minimal waiting time and efficient care delivery — a process that Mediglobal helps facilitate smoothly.

We encourage our patients to refer to all factual information available on Mediglobal.com related to hospitals and doctors. You are also welcome to speak directly with our case managers over the phone, who can share their extensive experience of assisting thousands of patients with similar needs.

We have specially designed packages for health checkups and cosmetic surgeries in India. However, if you want us to prepare a customised travel package for your medical condition, our case manager will be happy to craft a personalised package to suit your needs.

Our case managers at Mediglobal will be happy to assist you in arranging a video consultation with your preferred doctor either before your travel or after you return to your home country once your treatment is completed.

You can either fill out our enquiry form or start a conversation using the WhatsApp button on the Mediglobal website to get connected with our support team.

The success rate of liver transplant varies from case to case, but in general way 1-year survival rates are around 90% in the whole world. While a 5-year survival rate is 75 to 80%.

After the liver transplant, the improvement can be seen in a few weeks. But some patients are advised to stay in hospital for up to 2 weeks. Their improvement will be monitored and measured by doctors.

The candidate looking for a liver transplant must have a high MELD score and their liver disease should not be responsive to other treatments. But for more details, it is suggested to talk with a professional.

Early signs of a bad liver include various things, likes: unusual fatigue, jaundice, nausea, loss of appetite and bruising and bleeding. There are some other symptoms as well, which point towards a bad liver, such as dark urine and pale stools.

In normal cases, it’s seen that many patients’ conditions start improving soon after the liver transplantation. But if you are said to be in hospital for a few more days, then you can expect to stay in the ICU for more days.
