About Medica Hospitals

Medica Hospitals is one of the most trusted healthcare groups in Eastern India. Over the years, it has set up and managed several multispecialty and superspecialty hospitals across the region. The journey started in 2008 with the launch of Medica North Bengal Clinic (MSNBC) in Siliguri. Later in 2010, the group opened its main hospital — Medica Superspecialty Hospital (MSH) in Kolkata.

This hospital is accredited by both NABH and NABL, which ensures its commitment to quality care and laboratory excellence. In February 2022, the Kolkata facility installed the 4th Generation Da Vinci Robot and became the first official training center for robotic surgery in Eastern India.

Medica Superspecialty Hospital also made history by becoming the first hospital in Eastern India to receive a “Green Operation Theatre Certificate” from Bureau Veritas Certification (India) Pvt. Ltd., showing their focus on sustainable healthcare practices.

In 2023, the hospital was honored with the Times Bengal Award. The dialysis center at the Kolkata unit was accredited in 2020 under the Dialysis Centres Accreditation Programme, marking another milestone in their commitment to top-quality healthcare.

The hospital has also been widely recognized for its efforts in community service. In 2017, it received the “Healthcare CSR of the Year” award, and earlier in 2014, it earned a “Special Jury Recognition” at the FICCI Health Excellence Awards for its CSR initiative named “KARMA.” The same initiative also won a “SAFETY AWARD” from Mercedes. In addition, Medica received the AHPI Award in 2017 for its excellent community engagement and was named the “Best Dialysis Service Provider” at the National Awards for Excellence in Healthcare.
